Media

As time passes, and our story circulates, we have been asked to be part of podcasts, write articles, or be interviewed for features.

This is a selection of those, appearing with the most recent first!

I'm Not On Vacation Interview

Kirke Mannik sent us some thoughtful interview questions for her blog I’m Not On Vacation.

She and her partner are fellow nomads who are just finding their way in the full-time traveling world. It is interesting to see that we both have similar challenges and struggles in this life.

Golden Salamander Talks Interview

Roxanne is from what was once the USSR but now has found Australia home for the last decade or more.  However, she has been disappointed with her adopted country and what has happened with the virus protocols.

She has been in contact with us through Social Media, and has been very interested in our life in Africa because she plans to also come here with her son in early 2022.

Learn more about our nomadic life and how we have come to be where we are!

Chat With Nomads Interview

Rax from Nomads Unveiled interviewed us for his podcast Chat With Nomads in July 2021 from Uganda.

In this thoughtful interview, we were able to talk about how it was that we came to be nomadic, how our life has changed since then, and how the project of feeding a village came to be.

Play this thoughtful podcast while you are driving your car, making art, or cleaning the house!

The Aijaz Qureshi Show

While in Turkey (2020) we did a live interview with Aijaz Qureshi about our mission to spread love through our art.

Unfortunately the connection wasn’t great, and we cut out for a brief moment, but we were able to resume the interview and finished off strong!

Take a watch if you are interested in our mission of spreading love around the world!

Munieum Speaks

We were interviewed by Syed Muniem for his YouTube channel Muniem Speaks while we were in Istanbul, Turkey in November 2020.

We really enjoyed this quick 25 minute interview and Syed’s thoughtful questions.

10 lessons for living location free

Chris was interviewed, along with a small handful of other nomads, about our nomadic life and how we make our way in the world.

His answers to certain topics are included in this thorough and thoughtful book.

Check it out if you are considering a nomadic life!

ZERO TO TRAVEL PODCAST INTERVIEW

Zero to Travel is a very popular podcast that highlights the lives of full time travellers.  Jason is an excellent interviewer and he excels at really digging deep and finding out the nitty gritty of travellers lives.

When we were packing up our lives and selling all of our stuff in 2017, we were addicted to listening to this podcast!  Then, in January 2020, we were honoured to be the ones interviewed just days before we left for Morocco.

Powell River Living Article

Jill lived in Powell River, BC, Canada for 11 years, 4 of those years with Chris.  It is the last place they lived before pulling the plug to be full time travellers.

While we were in lockdown, the owner of Powell River Living contacted Jill to see if she wanted to write an article for the magazine that would highlight our experience in Morocco.

Rocky Mountain Outlook Interview

We were back in Jill’s home town of Canmore, Alberta, Canada in the fall/winter of 2019.

During that time, we were interviewed by the Rocky Mountain Outlook about our decision to travel full time.  It’s a short article but gives good insight to why we made the decision that we did.

Location Indie Member of the month interview

Location Indie is a network of entrepreneurs that have cut the chords of having to live in one place to do their work.  They create businesses and a life that allows them to travel around and run their business from any place on the planet.

In June of 2018 I was privleged to be declared the member of the month, and they interviewed my on their podcast to learn about my experience.

Let's Talk Trash Podcast Interview

Before leaving Powell River, the last town we lived in in Canada, we were interviewed by the local trash management group for the city, that does regular podcasts.

They were particularly intersted in our stance on minimalism.  This podcast covers just this, plus our thoughts on why we have chosen this life and how we will live moving forward.
