Nomadic Artist since 2017I seek adventure at every turn. life is short, let's get busy!
For as long as I can remember travel has been a part of my every waking moment. As a kid my parents whisked me off to exotic locations around the world, and when I wasn’t travelling, I was home in Canmore, Canada, looking through the atlas and dreaming of far off places.
At the age of 18 I circumnavigated the world on a 188 foot tall ship with an educational program called Class Afloat. The experiences that me and 50 some other students had on that trip were those that can only be dreamt of by most, and many would feel satisfied that they had seen and done enough.
However, this trip merely scratched the surface of what I knew was possible, and in those moments I declared to myself that travel would always play a central role in my life.
And so, at the age of 40, my partner and I pulled the plug on our conventional life, to head out into the world. We came with no expectations, we only wanted to experience life! We do not regret our decision for one moment, and we have not been disappointed.
Travel History
I’m not a big fan of counting countries, and I’m not in a race to see every one. I am a slow traveller and much prefer to really dig into each place that I visit, learning as much as I can about the people, food and culture as I can. However, it is nice to keep track and note what I have seen, but there are many on my list that I yearn to go back to as I didn’t spend enough time in each one.
These days my partner and I prefer to spend a minimum of 3 months in each country that we visit. This allows us the time to really get to know some locals and to sink ourselves into their way of life as much as we can.

Thoughts and Experiences
My Blog is a way of recording my thoughts and experiences as we travel around the world. There isn’t a specific structure to my Blog posts, I just allow them to flow through me as I feel the inspiration to write.
Here you may find thoughts and feelings about a place, or even a destination guide. You may meet a local that we have come to know, or you may learn about a new type of food that we have tried.
Each day I am awed and inspired by what we see and experience in this world, this is my way to record it all!

Jill’s Online Shops
At the age of 30 I rediscovered an artistic side of myself that I had burried down deep in childhood. This discovery unleashed a wealth of creativity that has been inspiring me ever since.
These days, as we travel around, the easiest way to create art, other than our murals, is to make digital art on my iPad. By doing this, I am able to upload my designs to various online platforms that allow me to have my images printed on clothing, stickers, accessories, home decor and more!
Check out my 2 shops by clicking the photos below!
Thanks for following along on my journey!
As I travel around, painting murals and sharing my gifts, I am constantly amazed and inspired by each and every experience that I encounter. I aim to share my life with you in hopes that you too are inspired to live out your dreams and enjoy your best life. Life is short! Let’s get busy!
